Quick question, my dad's 99 Ranger with 10" drums wheel cylinder is leaking. I have replacements for my 94 Ranger with 9" drums. Can I use the 9" wheel cylinder on the 10" brakes? I know this may sound like an obvious question, but I compared the 2 cylinders side be side and there is no visible difference between them. Thanks!

Compare part numbers. That should tell you whether you can or not.

According to Rock Auto you can't. At least, they have different parts for the 9" and 10" brakes.

If they have different part numbers it's because the two wheel cylinders have different internal diameters.

So, no you can't... if you want the brakes to work right.
