94 ranger 2.3l blower motor problems??

Hello, recently having problems with my blower motor, it doesn't work on any settings.

Things I've done:

I changed the resistor

Blower works when hooked up directly to 12v + ground.

When I test the power at the blower motor with switch in cab to off & key on I get 12dcv on both leads, but when I turn switch to any setting 1-2-3-4 I get 0.228dcv on both leads.


Any help is greatly appreciated, would like to get fixed asap as I live in WI and it's -10 degrees out. Lol.

Thanks, do you by chance know where the grounds go to?

I changed out the switch and it worked for a day now the same problem.

I did continuity test at the resistor plug to make sure the switch was working and it is. Resistor looks fine.

problem fixed it ended up being the connector behind the glove box that goes from the heater control to the resistor through the firewall. well It ended up being that the connector behind the glove box was melted. took the connector out wired backup. Work great again. Thanks for everyone's input.
