94 Mazda B4000, 2 weeks in..

I was needing some suggestions on a hand emergency brake conversion.. I'll do some searches. I need to find a car that came with a hand brake that has four flat bolts for mounting.

I have to do some more work to clear on the drivers side. If I trim another 1/2" I can go lock to lock.

The passenger side is done. I can stuff the tire and turn lock to lock and still have 1" clearance. I am very happy with it. I'll do anything for a lower center of gravity, and up-travel. Notice the black area in the picture? That's all that was needed. I still need to fill in the holes from the air box and bed line the interior and wheel wells :) I don't think the women would enjoy being able to see the exhaust manifolds.

I still plan on possibly notching the rear frame and going spring under.. I would lose 3" of ride height that I honestly don't need for this short of a wheel base truck. Right now my rear is only "lifted" 3" above stock ride height. I'd like to be at stock ride height with a substantial amount of up-travel. After playing with some more stuff today. I am going to set the front end at about 3.5" of ride height over stock. :D This thing should handle quite well after some extensive shock valving.

I can't wait until I finish all this crap so I can paint the damn thing..
I'm either going with Charcoal grey or Jet Black... Some people love the Blue, my wife will not support the idea of respraying it back to stock..

These are RuffStuff engine mounts. I got them un-welded. I welded them up today.. Heres some pictures

let me know how those things work, i was eye'ing them myself

This thing is still awesome. And getting more so all the time. x2 on the DSG, such an awesome color. DSG with black rims and such = the sex.
x2 on the engine mounts too, I've been eyeballing a set for a while.

Looking good man, glad I found this thread again!

Truck looks great!!

and we have ran alot of welded 8.8s with good results..

Far as the handbrake goes, a buddy of mine did the same thing on his Ranger. I think he used a Probe handle... I'll ask him.

Thanks guys.. I'll let you guys know how they turn out. I think friday I'll be able to get them in. I haven't looked into the brake handles yet. I am making a list on what vehicles to look for..

As far as the 8.8, I'm going to weld it. I plan to swap it out eventually. I am wondering how I will do with 4.10's and 35's..

i think youll like the 4.10's atleast if your going to be doing some street driving....if its only for the dunes then youll probably want to go 4.56's to get a little more out of it but i still have plenty of power when i need it
