94 Mazda B4000, 2 weeks in..

So this truck has been on the back burner for a while... and its coming back in full force in the next week.. Heres the plan.

6" over D35 beams

Extended axles built from 2 axles. I will have a taper turned on a lathe at the weld point, and then sleeve over it.

Warn Jeep hubs (thanks Camshaft01)

Either heim jointed radius arms or a "4-link" style setup..

14" F-O-A coil overs

Hanneman one peice front clip.

Full engine cage, core support etc...

Make sure to take lots of pictures, it sounds fun

Oh I will be sure to.. I started this project budget minded and originally built a simple but effective front end... I realize that's not what I want and decided to open my wallet and spend the time needed to build it instead of cutting corners. This is my second time toying with a twin traction beam front end. Although I feel confident I can come up with something that I will be happy with and proud to show off and share the process in which it took to get it there.. my budget is 1500 including shocks. I already have. The majority of the parts.. Swing set steering will come in the near future...

After doing some thinking, I decided I will be doing a traditional radius arm set up. I found some parts you guys maybe interested in. I will be calling kel fab creations to inquire on some radius arm pivot boxes and a single steering swinger. http://www.kelfabcreations.com

Decided to go 7" over.. :) I have a E series rear end for it, plus I need to fill out this one peice...

Well I ended up sending templates to Kelly (kelfab) so he can cut everything on the plasma table... I got my core support done and picked up some new paddles.. I'll post pics tomorrow...

if you're still wondering about the gears. with 35's you're going to want at least 4.88's

Heres some updates..
I got the thing ready to build, I stripped her back down. I am still awaiting some plates and parts from KelFab.

Heres the core support, its very basic, I will be putting a X in it to bring some torsional strength to the front of the truck.

Also I found a 3 peice dimple die set for 50 bucks. If they work out well I will be buying the larger set from the same place..

I will be putting some sort of joint or uni-ball in the ttb's... Any suggestions or comments on anything guys?
