my 94 4.0 fuel line is completely gone, not the steel but the rubber, its a pressurized line it broke right off of the frame i have about 1inch of rubber line coming off of the steel, what is the best easiest way to fix this, my truck is sitting 10 miles away where it died on me and im going to fix it tomorrow first thing but i need a plan to do it

buy a double-ended hose connector with barbed ends at home depot/lowes/hardware store. The connector should be pushed into the rubber hoses & held in place with good quality scew-type small hose clamps where each rubber hose slides onto the connector.

rough drawing.....LOL

temporary fix.......get a good fire extinguisher to keep in your vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you could cut metal lines with small pipe cutter and buy some rubber fuel injection line and the scew type clamps and be rid of the rotted ruber line.around here the fuel injection line is $5.00 a foot

well for now i slid a rubber line over the "nipple" on the steel line and used a hose clamp and there is no leak as of now.. we'll see how it holds up and ill probably just end up replacing the whole line
