Any help finding braided fuel supply line for a V^ manual trans Ranger/Mazda pickup. only 154,000 on it. Belong to HHR Club, administrator just up road in Fredericksburg. email is billyktet@aol.com Viet nam vet, TET 0f 1968 survivor. We don't give up searches.

guys have success having hydraulic lines custom made at agriculture repair shops.
maybe they can do fuel lines too??

there are fuel line kits at Jegs and Summit Racing but are expensive, and listed for Chevy stuff.

greensalescompany.com deals with obsolete parts.

Thanks, going by garage to try get part number..they can't locate, Chesterfield Auto parts will pull one for me if they have the pu. Brandywine Marylat just up 301 100 miles..I plan to call. Part number might be at an old Ford dealer in country or wharehouse. Saw one complete system for $399 OBO plus $135 shipping?? Guess bc had gas in once considered hazadardour, Truch has only 148,000. Think squirrels bit the plastic end/connector. 22 cal bullet costs less than a dollar. Billyk

Thanks, am a vet and deplorable. Mazdz 02 pickup V6 with anti-theft 3 speed stick shift...fuel pumpreplaced check engince ligh on for 2 years. Must have been somehow involved with this braided ss fuel ine. Got to get fixed soon. Regular mechanic and I are vets and we don't surrender. I'm 82 and it's too hot to go junkyarding today. What tools needed to get line if I find one? Any help appreciated

I'll take a look at my 2000 tomorrow. I'm also scratching my head a bit because I think my lines are plastic/nylon.
checked the Ford parts site, my dealer doesn't list any parts for a 2002. they have dropped out of support I guess.

can you post a pic of the bad line? want to make sure we're talking about the same line.

'ya got me beat by a few years, I'm just a youngin' at a mere 71 :icon_thumby:

been married for over 50 years, I've surrendered many times. :black_eye:

OK, checked out my 2000 fuel line. I had forgotten the lower section was braided, top is stainless tube.
2008 was the last year for the 3.0 in a Ranger, Ford doesn't even have a listing for that part & year combination.

I would call Ford/Mazda service and ask them what they would use for this repair.
might be a service bulletin or tech note on it.

EDIT: is it the braided section leaking? or possibly the O rings inside the quick connector?
