1994 ford ranger 2.3l rwd. It started making a roaring noise when going 35+ getting loader the faster i go. Well when i replaced my transmission i figured oh it has to be something with that. Nope its still doing it. Any body have any clue what it could be? Thanks, Mike

I hear it more from the rear of the truck than anything.
So i dont think it would be the fan clutch. hmm

we need more info.........does it change when the truck is in neutral? does it change when you are coasting? how about when you apply the breaks? how about when you are turning? .how about when...................:)

Went out and tested the turning neutral, brakeing, and the only time the sound changed is when I would brake it would get quite as I slowed. Louder as I accelerated.
