94 B4000 steering problem

I was already amazed what the new pitman arm and the JY steering gear box did for it. I probably won't reconize it as my truck when I get it back from the shop. LOL!

I just wish I could still do this kind of heavy work myself so I could save a lot of money on fixing it. The back surgery I had a few years ago puts limits on what I can do physically, even though I have the knowledge and tools to do it all myself. Swapping out the steering box out a couple of weeks ago was way harder than it should have been, but at least I was able to get that done.

A little follow up here:
The first alignment they did was not as good as it could have been. It pulled slightly to the right and the camber was still way out of spec.
Before pic from when I got it:

After the first alignment. Better, but still cambered way out of spec:

In order to fix it, I ordered adjustable upper ball joint alignment bushings from a local auto parts place and a set of better front lift coils from a member here on TRS. Since I was having a winch bumper built for it, I waited for it to arrive so I could have that extra weight on the truck before getting the next alignment. Last week the bumper showed up so I got it and the winch mounted up. I had to wait till today before I could get an appointment to get the alignment done. I just got back from the shop and it rides a lot better. It pretty much drives like a new truck up front.

Current pic. You can immediately see how much better the camber is with the new springs on.

Next I have to address the worn out leaf spring bushings and check the drive shafts for a loose clunking U-joint. It never ends. :icon_twisted:
