The steering work's fine but Nothing to brag about. There is minimal bump steer but i dont feel unsafe driving it. If you use a axle trac bar mount it would make everything parallel and eliminate bump steer. When i hit large bumps it does NOT change the direction of the truck at all, you can just feel it thru the steering very little.
The shocks i have are for a long list of vehicle's. I can not recall the extended and collapsed length but they are skyjacker 8000
The vehicles they fit are something like:
Dodge 2500 lowered 3''
Avalanche lifted 6''
of factory Superduty
all i belive all are 00' or newer
I used summit and there confusing filtering method to find them.
They have the Larde stud style upper mounting which worked fine. and an eyelet on the bottom.
I used ruff country's "bar pin eliminator" for the lower axle mount and everything work's great. The tire stuff's farther than needed and the shock limit's the droop a little lower than i would like but thats what i used the spring retainer's for. F or the retainer's i used stainless steel "U" bolts from the local hardware store, 3 are the same size and fit snuggly around the spring, But the lower passanger side is rather large due to limited access to the underside of the spring.
