The A/C in my 94 B4000 does not work, should I just cut it out and forget about it? I live in New England so A/C really isn't a requirement. Any words of wisdom or advice would be appreciated!

does it need to be recharged?

Well its a 94 so it uses the old R12 refrigerant which I dont think can even be purchased anymore, I guess I could get the system flushed and change it to r134a

Bypass it with a smaller belt and be done with it. You'll get better performance and better mileage...at damn near 4 bucks a gallon that's a lot of incentive.
