Can anyone ID this plug and where it goes preferably with photos?

The round end plugs in to a plug on the driverside engine bay...almost underneath the brake booster...I cant figure out where the other end goes...whether a fuse goes there or it plugs in somewhere?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated

If someone could look under thier hood if they have a 93-97 model and find it, that'd be great, too.

Its hard to tell in the 3rd pic, but is that the hood light (missing the bulb)?

If it is that, Im going to kick myself in the ass....lol

Okay, that wire that I was trying to find out what it was? Yea, it was the wire to the light under the hood...lol

I've now traced the gremlin down to the transfer case motor control module. I rebuilt the transfer case motor tonight...it was full of rust and definitely seized. I now turn on the key and press the 4x4 button and i can hear the control module click once, then click again. I've come to the assumtion that I need a new controle module. Anybody have one that I can buy? Or does anyone have any other suggestions that I can try to get the motor to engage the transfer case?

Usually if the CM clicks, it is good.

Are you SURE the shift motor is good, as in applied power to it and see it rotate when not installed? All you need is 12v and ground to the Yellow and Orange wires. Switch them around to make it turn the other way. If it won't do that, the CM ain't the problem.

Awsome, thanks dude! I love turning a wrench but when it comes to wiring, thats a whole other ball game

Update and end to this thread: Turns out it was my transfer case motor and NOT the control module. Much thanks to everyone especially Earl43P for the suggestions and help. Ended up buying a NEW motor instead of a remanned one due to their non reliability (Cardone). Cost was double the price but in the end, I think it was worth it.
