Hello, I don't believe I haven't posted on this forum before, but I am currently running my 1994 ford ranger 4.0L 4x4 and I've been having a quite an issue with my the toe coming out of alignment in the front.
and currently have noticed a few parts getting worn out due to driving in the city, and high speeds while off road.

So, my set up I am running on the truck currently is a James duff lift in the front, I am almost certain it to be that of 3 inch lift.
and James duff 70/30 shocks in the front.

In the rear I have new leafs(already bent one) and pro comp shocks with the James duff blocks. and adjustable shackles.

and I am currently sporting 32x11.50 on 15 inch rim Bf Goodrich A/Ts

what currently is worn out on the truck appears to me is the front coil springs and shocks(both badly dented) and both drag links and my tie rods(death wobble)

so I had the thought of while handling my issues with the suspension and steering that I would make an improvement upon the lift and was wondering on the F150 coils in the front, what would be equivalent to that of maybe a 4,5,6 inch lift on a ranger with the I beam front suspension that already has some lift in it?

Hopefully this is understandable.

In addition to longer coils, you would also need longer axle drop brackets, radius arm drops, and a longer drop pitman arm if you're looking to go from 3" lift to 6" and have any hopes of realigning it correctly.

Might be best to just get a new 6" suspension kit since pretty much everything has to be replaced. Be sure you get the Skyjacker #FA600 drop pitman arm with it also, as the arm the kit comes with isn't dropped enough.

so, are you saying that I will need 6 inch lift components even though I am already set for a 3 inch James duff lift(drop brackets, drop pitman arm) in the front. and I can't simply just add the bigger coils from an f150 with a lift?

Well is there a tougher coil spring with 3 inch lift for the TIB suspension system that may handle the punishment better? my main concern is that I truly don't think the lift coils that I have are taking my aggressive driving very well, and they appear to be bending under the weight of the truck when parked.

If you don't put new (longer) brackets on with the taller springs, your front wheels will look like this viewed from front:

\---o-/

Skyjacker's coils are pretty robust. They should take pretty much anything you can give them (they preset the coils fully to coil-bind during manufacture to eliminate settling). Their 4" lift coils would work with your 3" JD kit as that's not far up enough to be out of your camber bushing's adjustment range like 6" coils would be.

Alright so I'm getting the idea now.

currently my front end looks like /--0-\ which has become a problem with destroying tires in the front.

If your trucks and extended cab you could run the skyjacker 6" coils up front. I got about 4.5 inches of lift from them and im running 4" drop brackets.

I would still recomend the fa600 pitman arm for anything over what you have now.

The OP has 3" lift brackets... It would be real close on that, but I do recall there was one user here some years ago who was able to use the 6" Skyjacker coils (pt#136) on his 3" James Duff lift brackets. I think he might've also had a winch & bumper to weigh down the front end a bit further though.

The skyjacker lift coils only give you 4.5 inches of lift on an extended cab 4.0

Im running them in 4" drop brackets and theres plenty of room left for adjustment. Im sure they will be fine in 3" drop brackets
