So I purchased a 94 Ranger Splash 4.0 a few months back, and have since been replacing minor things here and there as issues or quirks pop up. One that has been consistent, and not remedied with any of my minor fixes so far is as follows:
Cold start regardless of how long the truck has been sitting is flawless, initial drive also flawless. After parking and turning off the engine briefly (to say go into the store, or a restaurant, etc) the startup is rough. It has the initial rev-up as you would expect and then bogs way way down, almost to the point of completely stalling if I don't feather the gas pedal a bit. It will catch up a little bit, but will continue to idle roughly until I begin moving. Once I start going, almost immediately the issue ceases and the pickup runs without a problem again.
Thus far the items I have replaced that I was hoping may pertain to the issue:

- Dry rotted and cracked Ram-Air Tube with an all aluminium intake/cone filter.
- IAC Valve
- Plugs, Wires
- Fuel Filter
