94 4.0 Ranger- Clicking noise on corners

I have a 1994 Ranger, 4.0, AT. Recently, I started to notice a ticking noise coming from the front end of the truck, probably from the left front wheel area. At first I thought that something was dragging on the ground, because that's exactly what it sounds like. This happens every time I turn the wheel hard enough to corner in either direction. Any suggestions?

Check out your wheel bearings, could also be auto hubs if it's a 4x4, they aren't the greatest.

Check the inside of your tire walls.. Just to see if they are rubbing on tight turns.

Auto hubs right?

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Lube them with the proper spec grease, you should not have to take them apart. Also keep your Ranger aligned and check the radius arm bushings. Heavy wear on the inside of the front tires will tip you of these problems.

It appears that in a turn the U-joints at the steering knuckle will apply enough force to engage or partially engage the hub if the front end is loose.

I can tell you from experience that it will give you some interesting steering while exiting an offramp when one side engages completely.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Sounds like it's probably the auto hubs. They haven't worked in years anyway, I should just replace them with manuals. I'll grease them tomorrow. Thanks.
