94 3.0L intake

Ok, big win at the junk yard. Found a 93 Ranger with a mostly intact air system, I'm only missing the MAF housing now. Will post some pictures once I get it cleaned up an installed. I also pulled all of the vaccum lines from the junk yard truck and I'll install as many of them as I can.

Great news on your find. Early 90's 2.3 maf sensor housing will work. Your 3.0 will thank you for this.

Alright, after a fantastic junkyard run and some Amazon purchases to fill in the gaps I've got a stock intake back in the truck. Total cost was $140, I feel pretty good about that.

It is less loud now, still need to address an exhaust leak with the drivers side exhaust manifold. I’m very happy with the results though.

I'm glad you got the parts you needed. It looks like a whole different engine compartment.

Yeah, really ought to think about getting a little cargo box for that front right corner. Storage in the cab is at such a premium it’d come in handy.

Vacuum hoses are for that cool / heat sensor on the airfilter box lid. The route to the exhaust manifold, I don't remember for that one.
I’m looking at the flow on the airbox lid device and it’s got to vacuum not heat in the 94. The only input seems vacuum from both the airbox and the vacuum tree

Are you referring to that two prong sensor on the airfilter box lid? I do believe it is, one vacuum line goes to one as I see it the picture, and the other end hooks on the snorkel. The other vacuum line goes to the vacuum tree on the upper intake manifold. The pictures I posted awhile ago shows it's path..I can look further into as it has a tee in it.

I think I’ve got it. Just needed to do some reading on how the bi-metal temp switch worked.
