No Oil pump sproket, has Auxillary sprocket.

Does the Aux sprocket control/run the Camshaft Postion sensor? The Camshaft sensor is nowhere near the camshaft.

its down below intake near #1 cylinder.

When replacing a broken timing belt does the Aux sprocket need to be aligned a certain way?

I've seen online that it didnt matter, should be pointing straight up, or should be pointing towards cam mark.??????

Wow,

Either I i offended the board gods, or I ask hard questions. I've posted a few questions now and got like 1 response.

Do I need some back story or something?

It still needs to be lined up as it is a balance shaft also.Do you have a cam sensor? Some did, some didn't,needed to be Califrnia spec to have one

It looks like it has a cam sensor. There is something there that has a connector going to the wire harness.

Whether it IS the cam sensor or a dummy plug, I dont know.

Sounds like you're in california, or have a california truck. Just so you know, the sprocket does drive the oil pump... rather it drives the cam sensor and the cam sensor drives the oil pump. Either way it doesn't matter where the sprocket is at, what matters is where the vane in the cam synchronizer is. If you need the truck back together ASAP, just unplug it and deal with the check engine light, because you'll need a special tool to align that sensor... But the truck will run just fine with it unplugged.
