Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and hoping to get some help. So far I change ignition coil, distributer, pick up coil, ICM, plugs, wires and engine computer. Also checked wiring for shorts but haven't found any. Right now I am baffled. Any help would be appreciated as I am going back to working it on tomorrow. Thanks

Have you checked for 12volts at the coil with key on.
And then checked for 12volts at the coil while engine is cranking.

I'd use a volt meter for the "12v at coil with key on check" and a test light for the other test as you will see the light go on/off as primary is switched. No switching, no coil output.

Hey guys, ive been out of town for a while. So i did get it going. It was a bad ground wire in the harness by the injectors

So now i have another problem. This time i got fuel to the rail (42psi), fire but will not start. I dont seem to be getting a ground at the injectors. I tried another eec but to no still nothing.

So if you manually put gas in the intake, or spray in starting fluid, the engine will start, but then dies because it runs out of fuel?

Here is a pin diagram for the EEC-IV: http://www.auto-diagnostics.info/ford_eec_iv
Make sure the Grounds on the connector are all working grounds.

Pins 58 and 59 are the injector grounds, IF EEC is grounded.
Injectors get 12v with the key on.
When engine is cranking the distributor sensor sends a pulse VIA TFI module to the computer(PIP, pin 56).
That signal times the fuel injector's grounding.

No PIP would mean no fuel injector pulse

Haven't tried to put gas in manually, but i will try in the morning. I do get 12v with the key on and i could only find 3 grounds off the eec and they were good.

Good read here on testing TFI system: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/TFI_Diagnostic.shtml

It could also be the PIP wire running to computer

You should get 12v at pins 58 and 59 on EEC-IV connector with key on.
An injector is just a coil of wire, so the 12v passes thru the injectors to those 2 pins, but nothing happens because power isn't "flowing", no ground.
Computer Grounds 58 and 59 alternately causing power to "flow" which opens the solenoid valves briefly.

I tested the voltage and i have 12 v on 58 and 59. Now on pin 56 with key on had 1 v. The continuity for the pip wire was good. I am going to swap out the distributor tonight. It did start with fuel in the intake.

If it started by manually adding fuel then Distributor and sensor in it are good, you would have no spark if that was the issue.
In that TFI link I posted it has TFI module OHM readings, I would test the PIP part.
