Putting the wraps on installing a '91 Mustang 2.3L in my '93 Ranger and have a "left-over" two-wire harness... The wires going to the connector are Black w/ Pink stripe and Purple w/ Red stripe. Any idea where this plugs into...???

The big white connector is the other end of it and "probably" mounts to the firewall??? The length of the wire from the white connector to the black connector is about a foot.

Thanks:icon_thumby:

It looks to me like you have the wire that plugs into the backup sensor. I know that on my 1994 5-speed there is a red plug that comes out to the drivers side towards the top of the transmission it should control your backup lights.

You are correct! Was going nuts poking around the engine bay for this plug location...

Thanks again!

Hey at least you weren't looking every where trying to find a location to plug a test connector in to your harness. I did that on a cavalier. Oh my God did I feel like a super douche when I realized it was a test connector LOL !
