93 Ranger: to buy or not to buy? 1st ranger, advice appreciated!!!

Get the truck, Im really pissed at my 93 right now due to auto hub issues, but thats ford not the truck. Otherwise mine runs like a champ. I have the 4.0 but ive heard the 3.0's are dead reliable too, I got mine for 895 dollars. So I would offer him 1400 and then bargain up from there. When you agree ona final price only show him 200 less cash than what you agreed upon, convince him it was all you could get, and see if he takes it. If he doesnt pretend to make a call tell him you can get 100 more. Play the game. Dont pay 2500 for it, even with a lift its not worth it.



By the way here in dandridge TN there is a guy selling an 87 beat up ranger with a 9 inch skyjacker lift and dead street tires for 10,700. Just because they put a number on it dont mean they know what its worth lol.

actually I just found a 4.0 5 speed That's what I realllly want, so I might go for this one instead:

also has the bar and lights, which I'd probably end up selling because I would kinda rather have a canopy. He's asking 2850... What do you guys think it's worth? He does have a lot of extras on it

just talked to him. He said there's some dents, but no rust, and I could care less about dents. He said there's 250k on the truck but a new 4.0 was dropped in around 175k, before he got it

3.0, Stock gearing and what looks like 35's.....

I bet that thing is a dog! I would definitely re-gear it if you buy it.

yeah i'm sure it is but i am not about to go do a gear swap myself...I'd probably put 33s or 32s on it
