Purchased 2 1993 Rangers. One xcab the other regular cab. Engines and transmissions were pulled and place in the beds of each truck. Regular cab was easiest to fix so it was repaired and running til my son tore up the trans!
While the reg cab was running, I inspected the xcab and discovered that whoever pulled the motor out had cut the Power Distrubition Box wires going into the bottom side of the box, and the box with fuses is missing.
Their are some engine compartment wiring harnesses for sale on ebay with the Power Dist. Boxes attached, but they are for newer Rangers (1997 and up). They are also for a 4.0 engine with 5sp trans, while I have a 3.0 with a 5 sp manual transmission.
What year range wiring harness do I need to be looking for ? I have already overhauled the motor, but I could use it in something else and just run the truck across the scales, if fixing the trans and coming up with a Power Dist Box runs into too much time and money!

Someone on this website had a '93 Ranger they were parting out, and sold me the wiring harness off of that truck. Real reasonable, I might add.
It's for a '93 w/ automatic transmission & 3.0 V6
Mine is the same except it is a 5sp manual transmission. Gonna make it work!
