I recently purchased a 93 Ranger 4.0 4x4..My issue is Ive replaced my auto trans...3 times..!!!!
I found out after the second one., that the radiator was leaking and mixing transmission fluid with the radiator coolant(none showed up on trans dipstick till after I replaced the radiator.) .My question is Is there a stronger easier to obtain transmission for my truck ? 
I was considering a 5 speed swap..if I don't have to change the driveshafts..or anything to costly..Please help !!! Ive got big plans for the Ranger but for now its daily transportation and I need it to be reliable..
