93 ranger 3/4 ton sas with leaf leaf springs and v8 swap

Exactly! So how can any of you say it doesn't work. Have any of you built your truck this way?

i can proudly say i have not, and wish to be shot if i ever did.

x2 for all 5 minutes of it lol ( that is if you dont start taking some of the advice given on here) these guys arnt saying it be assholes they are telling you so you can be safe and have fun for a while in the truck.

they may not have built their trucks like this but thats because they are probally like me and have seen trucks like this one out on the trail and in the bog and seen them fail easy. thats why they didnt build theirs that way

my thoughts exactly my friend. lol

you can lead a horse to a troff, but ya can't make him drink. :dunno:

To the OP, good luck. If you dont like other people's comments, then dont post on a public forum. just sayin

ha! my 351 modified in my 79 bronco can SMOKE the efi 302 HO in my 87 mustang

all i can say to this is that you either have a monster built modified in the bronco or a monster TURD of a mustang! or BOTH! but hey, come down my way and ill take my STOCK 90 mustang and go by that bronco spinning sideways lol.
Seriously, im not gonna doubt what you are saying but eh I have owned MANY MANY modified powered trucks and yes sure they can be made to make decent power and they are decent engines but i have NEVER seen anyone prove to me they will get more than 12 or 13 mpg on there best day.

And this is all beside the point, all i was saying is that in a RANGER a 302 will make just as good of power as the modified and get better mileage than the modified.

Now on the other hand yes in a big heavy full size truck or bronco a modified is gonna do better than a 302 in a big heavy full size truck. because the 302does not have the torque to pull the weight around efficiently. Again I have tried it and seen what happens.

most people are being nice about there advice and im looking in to the front hangar's but that guy was just bein a dick and pissed me off no offense to anyone else

Hey man. Post a build thread on pirate4x4. Guys over there are alot nicer:D

but seriously to the OP, idk if it'll hold up or not.. but i'd be scared sh!tless to drive it... i'd have to find a better way to do it. i looked and couldn't find a pic of one that gives that much lift... oh wait-- that's probably b/c there's not another way to do it w/ that much lift on the shackle mount.... b/c most people don't do that much lift for leafs. why not lower the truck and trim the fenders out? or do a real subframe like monster trucks use. the use a lot of triangles to be stronger... support that thing somehow. leverage looks like it could kill your front leaf mounts.

Seriously tho. To the OP that truck is a death trap on wheels. Your welds look to have no strength and the lack of triangulation will be the failure of that truck. Not trying to be a prick but for the safety of others don't drive that thing. Period. You had a sweet truck till you tore it apart.

it could still be a sweet ride, just needs to invest in a little more time and metal.
