you do realize your going to have to chage your name after this right? lol and i think id brace between your front spring mounts so its a more of an l-----l shape the dotted line being the new crossmember

Im a little bit closer to gettin the 351 in picked up two electric fans today so i can get rid of the huge fan to and shorten up the motor some.

haha oh yeah once it's fully done ill do that!

Damn right. Man I hate it when all knowing web wheelers try to tell someone how to do their shit.

Keep up the good work and build it the way you want it.

Oh and if you run the right carb you will never have fuel issues on any off camber or hill, that is until you lose oil pressure. Then who wants to keep it running anyway.

to be quite honest with you, if you want to get much help from this site, you best be dropping the attitude... acting like a smart mouth doesn't impress anyone on here

no, there is no need of people going on and on and on about efi vs carb when he first stated he is running carb, he never asked what everyone else thinks he should run. it pisses me off when people start throwing all there suggestions in where they arent asked to, and then the op gets blamed for having attitude when he does the reasonable thing and politely tells the others to f off

weezl i am not saying you are doing any of the above, because your not, but others are.

back on with the build. that ranger is HIGH. hope u got a good size tire to run lol she looks sweet though, u are doing good work. and have you researched on putting a big block in a ranger? there is alot involved, what are u going to run for headers? i highly suggest u check out bigblockranger.com
keep up the good work buddy

yeah its a little high lol thats how i like it im gonna be running some 38" baja claws for a while my buddy had a set layin around he's giving me for free.

and yeah the motors gonna be alot of work but im getting it there slowly i have two electric fans for, it a new radiator, im not running a/c so i can pull all that, im probably gonna end up running the headers to the outside of the frame and then tucking the exhaust up.

and im not worried about all these guys telling me how to build it ive already pulled the 302 out lol its half way there.

i dont think those fenderwell headers will work on a ranger but they might im not sure

ive seen a few rangers with fenderwell headers and anything will work once you cut rnough stuff otta the way lol

the ranger on the bigblockranger website you posted has fenderwell headers.

hey man i dont know where you live but i have a set of 44 tsls with 1/4 tread i could give ya for hella cheap. not jacking your thread just throwing it out there if you want some big meats. keep up the good work:icon_thumby:

Please don't take this the wrong way. The following is meant to be constructive criticism.

The front spring hangers on your truck are too long and therefore significant leverage is going to be exerted on them. Not to mention the fact that it will kill your approach angle. Second, the shackle angle on your front springs is very poor, they should be closer to 45* rather than 90*. Third, the way you have out-boarded your springs in the rear is not only unsightly, but it created a lot of unnecessary, extra work. It would have been easier and better to simply relocate the spring perches on the axle that way the pinion angle could be adjusted at the same time.

While trying to save money admirable there are some things that you just can't skimp on.

I truly hope you don't plan on driving this truck on the street. I suggest you do some research before continuing with this project for your safety and the safety of others around you.

Unfortunately, I see a lot of hack-job trucks in Florida so you probably haven't had a chance to see very many good examples of quality fabrication. Good luck with your project.
