Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was definitely talking to people who throw random solutions to problems that can simply be diagnosed and fixed with testing.
I was actually going to applaud you for thinking of adding fuel to a no start situation. Starter fluid is an easy way to test whether fuel is reaching the cylinders.
I do understand some people are novices on here, but alot of people expect a instant definitive answer from a list of problems/symptoms they list. Since most of us on here live states apart......it's up to the OP to test the rightly suggested system. Narrow it down.
No, I wasn't born with this knowledge. It's a combination of being taught by my father, self taught from books and even this forum, forcing myself to learn in pinches, and the 2 years of education in automotive technology, topped with Ford MLR training and cert.
I'm sorry if my information seemed vauge, but I wanted YOU to check things. I may have suspected a fuel pump, or a clogged pump sock, or even a bad connection to the pump. BUT, you would have to check them.
My post, besides the OP's 1st, was the only one up to that point, pointing you in the right direction. Many people often overthink an engine, I was trying to simplify it. It's better than posting up MAF, IAC, EGR...blah, blah, blah. And it's correct that all an engine needs to run is ignition, fuel (gas/air), and compression, though an engine can run on piss poor compression. Check the simple things FIRST. There is a PROCESS, otherwise you're just chasing your own tail to end up inconclusive results.
By the way, I am talking to YOU.....modelageek.
Who and what were you talking about........it always shows more courage to actually confront the person you were backstabbing.......peckerhead.......
some people on here are novices and need some explanation.......let me guess you are a self proclaimed genius and were born with all this knowledge.......good job screwing up a thread........you're great at it
