93 ford ranger strait axle 5.0 13" of lift with 38.5 baja claws

Hey nice truck! How long have you had it? I swear its been on car-domain for a while. Either way welcome to the site, and it looks like you've got a lot of knowledge to contribute.

when i read the title i though,"another rediculously lifted truck that looks like ass". well thats not the case here. it looks good and seems to be vary capable of getting you where you want to go. great build!

looks awesome great truck. looks like the rear doesn't flex too well though. whats up with that?

Looks good other than the super long shackles...

I agree, that and I think they used TTB coils up front which would also account for his lack of flex. Otherwise the fab work seems to be very nicely done.

Aren't those traction links gonna kill the articulation in the back? The bars want to swing up and down, but the axle wants to go forward and backward.

Hey everyone, thanks for the input. Yes my truck was in readers rigs edition of fourwheeler mag a few monts back. I bought it used about ten tears ago in stock trim and its been progressing from there. The traction bars do limit the articulation in the back and I could put softer more flexy springs in front but I like to drive this agressivly on the street also so its a compromise. Eventually I mite 3-link the back and use coils there to, I haven't decided yet.

what makes everything look right on the truck is the fact that the tires (baja claws) come in some RIDIC wide sizes, which makes them just plain look better on a big truck, and they are also killer in the mud.

When my Mazda grows up I want it to be just like yours.:icon_rofl:
