Today I'm working on a pos Freestar my mother in law gave us, bad torque converter [emoji25]. But I did grab a 93 Explorer Sport for parts, 4.0 swap! I'm wondering about some interior stuff swapping to the BII.

First and foremost I'm taking the seats and center console. I am stuck however pulling the console [emoji30]

I got the bolts/screws I could find but it is still stuck up front. And advice?

Also I was wondering how well the carpet and headliner would swap over if at all since the BII has neither.

*DO NOT TRY TO WRESTLE IT OUT, THE SKELETONS OF THESE CENTER CONSOLES ARE VERY WEAK*

There are two screws you missed in that indentation at the very front, usually buried by dirt and gunk. Pull it straight off and the rest is pretty self-explanatory. My Ranger had studs and a piece of carpet cut out for the rear support. You'll have to drive a couple bolts for the front support. I pieced mine together from 4 different Explorers and dumped the unused and broken parts in the same truck at the junkyard because I'm an awful human being. But I have a nice center console.

I highly recommend doing your own headliner. It's super duper fun and easy, plus you get to use actual decent quality fabric.

Exactly as you said, buried under filth lol. Some say awful, others say resourceful. Thanks!

As for the headliner I don't have the backer for the bronco that's my problem, just ribs and metal overhead and no BII boards in the jy

Heh, well that sucks. Making your own seems nigh impossible in that case. You could probably grab one from a Ranger and one from an Explorer, glue it together, cover it back up with foam, put fabric over it, and your passengers would be none the wiser. Easier said than done, of course.
