93 Explorer rims on 2005 Ranger

Hello,

Would the 15" rims from a 1993 Explorer fit on a 2005 Ranger Edge 2WD?
These are the chrome rims with the 7 holes and centre caps that screw on. Will the lug nuts sit properly with the centre caps removed? Thanks

yeah, they should, give it a dry to fit to test it out but u may need different lug nuts.

Well it looks like I was too late for those. There are some other rims for sale that are from a 1994 Explorer. Would those fit on a 2005 Ranger? I have heard that the older rims won't fit on the new Rangers because of the brake rotors. What is the date of the switch over? I also read about there being a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation of the Explorer. Is there 3 generations of the Ranger too? Thanks
