93 4X4 module

I'm having problem with my 4X4 module having to be reset in my 93 Ranger. I checked and a new one is $700.00 which is the cost of another used truck. Has any body else run across this problem with a possible cheaper fix?

Yes, find a 1354 manual tcase and bolt it in and then take the module, tcase, and the switch in the dash that's in your truck now and throw it all in the garbage and you will NEVER have another problem. hope this helps all you'll ever do is chase problems with that setup, module, motor, relay I see it over and over again on this forum

Your search term is "Shiftster".

They are a vendor on here and it gives you a manual shift option by removing the shift motor and installing the Shiftster.

I'd fix mine, just like you are trying to do. Most times, it's simply a bad shift motor, which is covered quite well in the Tech Library (click tab at top of page).

He has a 97, so he would need the intermediate piece on the tranny so the linkage will bolt up. Other thing he can do is grab a used one from a JY

every one on here says put in a manual tc i fixed mine was just a broke wire the module you could get from a junkyard or ebay
