Got a 93. 4.0 form a ranger I want to put it in a 94 explorer. I was wondering if they are the same wiring. Or would I have to change anything. Thank u

What exactly are you trying to do?

Just replace the engine in the Explorer?
Or Engine, wiring, and ECU?

The only things I can think of is that the Explorer might have EGR and the Ranger not, or possibly SEFI on the Explorer and the Ranger not.

Either way it should be fairly easy to work around the problems if you still have the engine from Explorer. Just swap whatever you need to make it hookup just like the Explorer did originally.

I want take everything for my 87 ranger which I have a 93 4.0 . Out of a ranger. And put. It in a 94 Explorer my Rangers getting small for my kids and also it's getting pretty well rusty I can get a explorer cheap but the head gasket is blown and the owner just keeps puttin bars leaks in it . So the motor is not worth puttin head gaskets on it. But i want to be sure it can be done easy before i go to far because I am swaping my whole drive train. Thanks for ur input

Swap the engine, use the explorer harness...
