93 2.3 fuel injector?

ok all I have been fighting with a rough idle and no power for a few months and I have narrowed it down to the #1 fuel injector. The odd thing is I get 16ohms on the injector with it unhooked and 3.2-5.6v on the connector depending on how high I rev the engine I get the same voltage reading on the other injectors so should I remove this injector and try cleaning it or just replace it?

16 ohms is within spec range for '93 2.3l 15-18ohms.

Common issue for 2.3l misfire is the ICM(ignition control module), fuel injector issues are just not a very common.

Voltage at injectors should be 12volts(battery voltage) with key on/engine off.
Both wires on the injector will show 12v if connected since there is only 16ohms of resistance.

The computer uses the Ground wire on each injector to open it, so with engine off there is no ground, just 12v at each injector.

The voltage should not be checked with it running, the reason it changes if because its using the voltage to open the injector. As stated, check the icm, then if it is determined that it is indeed the injector, buy new ones, replace them all at the same time, they are 14# ev1 style Bosch injectors. Your best bet is to upgrade to the 4 hole pintle style.

I will know for sure tomorrow when I pickup the new injectors but it is either really clogged or bad I pulled it and looked up how to clean it and was unable to get it to put out any cleaner from the nozzle the ICM is good atleast it was when I had it tested a couple weeks ago.
