Does anybody know of any bed bolt kits out there that retain the OEM torx head, besides the ones from LMC? I ordered Dorman kit 924-310 from Amazon because the image shown in the ad was for the torx head, but the parts were hex head. Thanks in advance.

The aftermarket bolt kits are a mixed bag. I’ve seen hex, Torx, and internal hex (Allen key). Personally I never worried much about matching OEM with them. I just hated when someone welded a carriage bolt in there. And yes I’ve seen it more times than I’d like to have. I’ve even used grade 5 or 8 bolts and a nut. Takes two people to install or remove but it works.

I’ve got 2 left to remove, and will have a full spare set. From a 92 rclb 2wd with the gray on green striping and fiberglass monoleaf “sport” version.

Parts roach isn’t fixable.
Destroyed: frame, grille, firewall, driver side fender (inner and outer), tailgate, windshield.
Salvagable: doors, seats, transmission, rear axle, spare tire hanger, front bumper (minor work needed), bed, hood, passenger outer fender, fuel tank, tailgate trim panel (driver grade), rear slider window.

I’m keeping the fuel tank for a different build. Maybe the 5spd, IF it is a removable bellhousing type. HVAC firewall parts, brake master/booster. Located 36 miles northeast of Graceland in Brighton TN. I prefer to not ship, parts are free if pulled/picked up at the farm. Bed bolts I could make an exception, but the USPS in this corner of the state frankly sucks.
