92 2.3 ranger turs off when hot outside!

I live in las vegas and when is hot out side after driving the truck for a little while it just turns off and have to wait for it to cool off to drive again. The truck temp does not get hot so i dont know what it is. The truck will start up again but than turn off right away.

I already changed the camshaft sensor i just dont know what it could be.

any help much appreciated!

Your '92 shouldn't have a cam sensor, I'm assuming you mean crank sensor?

If it's not the crank sensor (when mine did exactly that it was the crank sensor), try swapping the coil packs from one side to the other (if they are on the bracket where they are mounted next to eachother, swap the 3 pin connectors to them if that's possible). If that doesn't do it, while it's hot go to Autozone or Orilies and have the ignition module tested (the ignition module is the most likely culprit, I think it says "DIS" on it, it's mounted to the front of the lower intake manifold)

I just changed the ignition module so not sure if that was it yet but still a little confused on what you mean about the coil packs. Sorry for the confusion

You have 8 spark plugs and no distributor, so you have two "coil packs", if you follow the spark plug wires from the spark plugs, they will lead to the coil packs. I can't tell you exactly where they are mounted as Ford put them in 3 or 4 different locations depending on years, and I don't remember which year were where
