So, I was at the junkyard today, and I removed a 2.3 along with a 5-speed. Kicked my *ss. It was mud city. Anyway, I destroyed the motor mounts when pulling it. I removed the nuts from the bottom of the mount, thinking that when the engine is lifted out the mounts will just come right off the frame. Well , I tore the mounts in half and the engine still come out. :icon_confused: How should this be done? Tomorrow, I'm going back to get the clutch/brake pedals.

Take the top nuts off of the motor mount rather than the bottom.

Yes, but how do you get to them? What are the bottom nuts for?

The top nuts are very easy to get to. The bottom nuts just hold the mounts to the frame.
