My 91 ranger is blowing significantly cooler air from the floor vent under the dash while in ac mode max or norm than the air at the dash vents. Has anyone experienced this and can point me in the right direction?

You did not state how the control knob is set. How do you have the control knob set? You have is set for the cab area (upper) or is is set for lower (floor area)?

Sorry for the confusion. My ranger has settings that read from left to right max ac, panel, pnl/flr, floor, flr/dfrst, defrost and a bottom selector that controls the cool/warm blend. The fan speed knob when depressed illuminates orange to indicate the ac compressor is on. I've noticed that with the ac on, blend selector all the way on cool, and the selector on max ac or panel that air still blows through the floor vent and is significantly cooler than the air at the dash vents.

Sounds like the blend door isn't working properly.
