Hi,

I have a 1991 2.9 and it has recently just started stalling out and surging while driving. Seems like from about 2500 rpms up to 3100 rpms is where it seems to stall and stumble. Let off the gas and ease the pedal back and forth and you can find a spot where it runs ok but give it gas and it cuts out and wants to bog down. I have put in three different tps sensors and same problem except for different tps sensors make it backfire and kill out completely with same idle voltage from same 2.9L v6 engines. Tried a brand new one and does exact same thing. Pulled codes and it says only that my neutral safety switch is open which I replaced so now its ok. Put in a new fuel pump assembly and filter cuz the last one died and it seems like since then these problems arrise. What else could be causing this?

hmmm

Sorta sounds like the fuel filter is clogged don't it?

That would be my guess other than I replaced my fuel filter when I replaced the fuel pump so I'm not sure what it is.

cheap

Well they are cheap...so put another new one in there and that will rule OUT the #1 suspect..
