91 model engine in a 94

Well fellers, after 2 years, I have finally found another obd1 3.0 However, I do have a few concerns. The alterBator on the new engine is bad, mine is good, can I bolt mine on and call it a day? The 91 and 94 have themy in the same place.

Next, the 91 is a v-belt setup, is it easy enough to convert it to serpentine belt? I have all accessories and brackets off the 94 engine.

Lastly, the a/c compressor is under the alternator on the 81, and was above the power steering on the 94, can I relocate with brackets or is it stuck there?

If anything, I just need engine parts for a 91 ranger 3.0, yes?

Mtnrngr, that's what I thought. I just don't know where everything goes now since I forgot. Is it just a matter of removing all the accessories and pulleys off of the 91 and building it to the belt diagram on my 94?

Well, I think I found out why he only wanted $50 for this engine. I drained the oil, too the pan off, and hand spun the engine around, and with some oil left in the bottom of the cylinders and on the bottom of the Pistons, when a couple of them hit compression, bubbles came from the inside of the piston crown unless i wasnt spinning the engine fast enough to actually build and hold compression. All the cross hatching on the bottom of the cylinders looks good (as probably should), but I think this 232k engine is due for new internals...

You going to rebuild the 91 or look for another replacement?

Well, I have spent two years looking for an OBD1 3.0 because I thought my block was ****ed, but this one has the same holes mine does, so that was probably a waste of time... I'll probably use the better of the two at this point, for my 94 3.0 has 174k and cross hatching is still good. However, I broke my cam plate and I think I broke a few bolts off in the block in various places... I'll need to obtain another stand and a table, but while it's out, I'll rebuild one of them.
