91 exploder

i might be picking up a 91 exploror for the tranny just wondering what motor is in it the guy knoes its a v6 other than that he doesent know

All Explorers up until about 95/96 were 4.0's. After that, they could be either 4.0 or V8.shady

engine will be like changing an engine if your ranger has a 4.0L the explorer axles are definitely stronger. you will have to flip the perches on the explorer 8.8. you can also get a little lift from explorer springs if you have a standard cab.

The 8.8 in it is a 31 spline where the 8.8 in your Ranger(most likely)is a 28. The D35's are identical, but it never hurts to have extra parts. Heck you may even sell a few parts to folks here who need something......
