Help! Been working on a1991 2wd F150 and I'm stumped. The truck was running fine and one day wouldn't start. Motor turns over but it's not getting spark. This happened in a parking lot so I checked the inertia switch thinking it had been hit. That was ok. Since then I replaced the coil(no change) the ignition module(no change) put in a rebuilt dist.(no change) and have checked the fuses and fusible links. It has power going in and out of the coil and module but its not getting a spark consistently. Most of the time there is no spark coming out of the coil. However the only constant is that when we crank the starter after about 10 revolutions we get a spark and then nothing. Turn off the ign. switch, try again and same thing.Any thoughts on whats going on would be appreciated as I don't have any. Thanks, Steve.

Pull the codes....:icon_confused:

Thanks. I'll look at that.

Change ignition coil and get a service.:icon_twisted:

Take the trans out of gear, put the key in run, and then hit the two big posts of the starter relay with a screw driver. If it fires right up then the ignition switch is most likely at fault.
