nut plates for a swing out rear window. I was greatly surprised to find the rear hatch in Grimmity's BII has the riveted in nut plates. They are diffinitley factory installed but have never had bolts in them. Wierd as ths truck has defrost and wiper factory as well. The window is fixed though. However, I've been wanting to mod my hatch to have wiper and defrost like an Explorer has. This is tailor made for the mod!!!!! Since he wants all power anything removed let the swap over begin!!! Be a shame to break the window out as it's perfect had has defrost but I have spare window but not a spare seal, Anyone ever got the glass and seal out without breaking the glass?

I dunno. My gate has wiper and defrost. They aren't so great.

i am going to start a chop top project on my BII if you got any tips i have a rear hatch on a 1990 BII i will not be needing i am in fairbanks

Haven't done a chop yet so no info that might be of great help to you on that score. I have however replaced a rear quarter on thiese rigs so I know about their structure but the chop thing has been well documented here. SO have you been my compition for parts out at Action or MSI???? I just got the whole front clip and rad support from the 90 at MSI to put on my 87 to comvert it to gen II. Hope to meet up now that "Spring" has sprung.

I have not tried to remove a window from a BII hatch but if it's anything like Ford truck rear windows, you just use screwdrivers and carefully pry and work your way around the seal. I have done a million of them, it's easy and have not broken any.
