90 Ranger Reverse Light Wiring

I need to hook up my reverse lights to my B&M shifter. My truck came originally with a 5 speed. How are the wires set up on the factory plug, hot-open-hot, ground-open-ground ? Anybody know the wire colors for the reverse lights on the factory 5 speed plug? Thanks.

Reverse lights come from a switch on the tranny. Or should.

Just splice in at the rear of the vehicle.

Either of the two wires can be the ground. What I mean is, they can be wired to either side of the switch.
Open is off, closed is on.

One wire will be Bk/Pk, second will either be Bk/Pk or P/O.
