Got an 89 ranger 4x4, need some help with wheel and tire fitment. Still has the stock wheels right now, I think the stock backspacing is something like 4.5"... I just put some 33x12.50x15's on, obviously gettin some scrub on sway bar and radius arms... How much backspacing will I need in a new wheel to correct this? Thanks!

A narrower tire or a little less back spacing will stop some of that but you will probably rub a little w/33's anyway. A stock wheel with 10" tires makes them balloon in the sidewalls.

If you are into hard 4x4 your D28 won't be happy for very long with the 33's. I think 31's are the tallest recommended to use with that D28 front end.

I run 30x9.50x15 on my custom hi rider w/ 3" body lift, no rubbing and it looks ok, but they are a little tall for the 3.73 gears. 31's rubbed so I went a bit shorter/narrower and that stopped.

I also run 31x10.50x15 on my Super cab w/6" suspension lift, no rubbing and it looks ok as well, with 4.10 gears its gets down the road better than the custom. Both are 88's.
