I was supposed to get my tube adapters on the 24th but I didnt see them on the front step today and I checked the delivery status on ups and they were rescheduled to be delivered the 29th because of "emergency conditions lol.

A little update. Not much done recently because school has kept me busy. But big brown santa came today and he brought all kinds of goodies (too bad they werent gifts lol). I got the 4.11 gears for the 44 as well as a master install kit ans a spartan locker. I am waiting on the carrier to arrive and then it will be a big assembly marathon. I still have to pick up some steel hopefully tomorrow and get started ripping out the ttb this weekend with some friends. Heres some pics.

I brought the front diff in to my rental houses basement to build. I figured it was easier than spending $10 in propane everytime I wanted to work on it. Next I have to install gears and set them up.

Not really. I went home for the holidays and got back yesterday. I will be doing alot of work in the next week though. Ill have some pics soon.

looks nice. except those 36"s i think id be grooving them as much as i can its my most unfavourite tread pattern as well. bet u could almost make them look like boggers

Ha ha yeah. I have been keeping an eye open for some better swampers or mtrs but no good deals yet. Otherwise Im going with goodyear military hummer take offs, there is a guy in kansas who sells them for $65 a piece with 80% or better tread.

This is from before Christmas. I got a cheap bearing puller from HF and pulled my carrier bearings. I took off the shims and labeled which side they where from.

I also cleaned up some of my axle parts with the sandblaster and masked for paint

Cleaned up the spindles too.

Got some stuff done tonight. I still havent finished my set up bearings for the 44 yet but i welded some on the front brackets and started to tear into the ttb.

Wow I havent posted in a while. I have been insanely busy with school and I got a internship at an overland supply company here. Check out the website at http://www.expeditionops.com/
I really havent made alot of solid progress but lots of little stuff. I am getting very frustrated because I want to be out wheeling but I dont have time to work on it. As of now the plan is to build the suspension and then finish the gear install after it is rolling. On with the pics.

More pics when I get time to upload them. I started mocking up my trans crossmember and rad arm mounts tonight.

By the way I got a new daily driver so I can really wheel this thing. Its an 87 escort wagon with almost no rust and 105xxx miles. I dont know where it came from but I got a steal on it and only had to replace a few sensors. I picked up some craigslist 17s for it to add a nice touch.So far I have about $700 into it TOTAL!

I prefer a Pinto, had one when I was younger, it was a station wagon with the nomad kit added to it, and my Father had a regular 73, that was the neatest little car back then.

Thanks guys. I actually looked at a pinto wagon but it was a pile of rust and in terrible shape. I couldnt pass up this one though. I got 34 mpg the first tank after I fixed it up. Since then I havent gotten better than 30 but my alignment is way off and I need to do some work on the brakes.

Its been waaayyyyyy to long my friends. I have been busy as usual but making some progress between work school hunting fixing other cars buying other cars and searching for a job. Ive picket up some new parts and new goodies since so pic are on the way.
