89 Ford Ranger 2.9 missing line

I'm missing what I do believe is a vacuum line but could be wrong, just wondering what it is and where it gose?

It's not missing. That engine has been replaced.

The missing line is on the EGR valve. 87 was the last year that the 2.9 had EGR, so that engine isn't original to the vehicle.
 
Will this affect the running or the engine or anything?.would capping it affect anything
 
No it shouldn't. That port is to give the valve vacuum to open, since it isn't allowing any extra air into the intake and your year didn't have EGR, it's just an inert piece.
