I am looking for a diagram of the internals for the manual locking hubs on an 89 Bronco II 4x4 with automatic transmission. I have one that is locked up on me and i dont want to take it apart to clean it and see if anything is broken without knowing where everything goes. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

if they are the auto hubs, i recommend strongly to get a set of manual locking hubs...

They are manual locking hubs, and since this truck sees very limited street duty, i would just like to see if i can fix them instead of replacing them.

it would be easier to replace them...

I know it would be easier to replace them, but it is also more costly than i can afford right now. All i need to do is get it into 2wd, but still be able to switch it between 2 and 4wd when i need to, so that i can use it for a couple weeks while my other truck is at the body shop, and then the bronco is coming back off the road.

You could most likely go to a pick and pull junkyard and grab one for next to nothing.

Those just show the way the washers and spacers go on. Doesn't actually show how to tear apart the hub itself.

I wouldn't hesitate to take it apart. There aren't very many parts.

Arrange them in order (and orientation) on a piece of paper as you disassemble them, and you'll assemble them correctly.

You don't need much more than a pair of screwdrivers (flatblade and Phillips) to get them apart.

I figured it out. One of them needs to be replaced because half the teeth on the splined shaft are missing, so i guess its a trip to the boneyard. Thanks for all your help guys.
