89 4x4 transmission swap.

So the transmission in my 89 with the 2.9l v6 dosent have 5th gear and I have a buddy who has a 98 4.0l 4x4 parts truck who says I can have the trans cheap. I know the M50D-R1 will bolt to the 2.9l just fine but I'm not sure about the transfer case. The case is a manual shift BW1350.

Yes, it will match up fine

BW1350 and 1354 used same transmission bolt pattern

Not sure if the bungs on the 1998 M5OD tail shaft will be there for manual shifter
