88 xlt lookin to add a little height

if its going to be a while before you can do it you have time to research a lot more and shop around so you can get exactly what you want. Not alot of trails in northeast nebraska unless you know the right people(with land). There is a couple of really cool off road parks near Norfolk that I want to hit when I make it back that way.

i'm looking just to lift it to better the looks... i don't trail and don't plan on doing it (don't hate me for it)

higher ground clearance comes in handy in a lot of places other than on the trail, like the snowstorm you just got. Rangers sit a little low at stock height and some lift and better tires go along way in helping it look better and be more capable in any situation.

we dont hate you for it but your missing out. lol

yeah and i just think a slightly lifted truck would look a little nicer... it just sits too low compared to full sized trucks now.

eventually once these tires go bad i'll hopefully have enough saved up for like 32's? with a 2" leveling kit would i be able to fit those?

what's a good size/width for a DD, but sometimes might need traction and/or hauling/towing small amounts?

i don't know where i could store winter tires (if i could afford that... and not at the rate i'm going now :-() probably back at home after i move out for college...

so how about a spring/summer/fall set of rubber, and a winter set of rubber. specs for both

for what i sadi to do 31's will be perfect...dont want to go too tall without a gear change which you obviously dont want to do

maybe even just 30's.. i don't want my speedo to get too far off, and i don't want to have the look that i hate (small truck on huge wheels)

30's or 31's will suit you fine and look good
