88 ranger tranny/clutch locked up?

Hey guys I have a question,I have an 88 ranger custom ext cab 4x4 5 speed 2.9l. The other day I was driving and heard a terrible grinding,so I pulled off the freeway and instantly the truck died,so I coasted to a parkin lot and re started it,but now it won't drive,it goes into all gears but as soon as I let the clutch out it clunks grinds and won't go more then a ft. Like something I locked up. I pulled the belly ban all the gears are good and shift properly. Any ideas???

It has the same clutch since I bought it 2 years back.
