I own an 88 Ranger 2.9 liter
Ever since I've owned the truck, the tachometer has never worked. I've been trying to get it going but haven't got anywhere. The problem could be as simple as giving the tach signal as it bounces when I turn the key on so I think it does work. What would be most helpful (and I can't find an answer) is where the stock tachometer reads the signal from. I've seen two different places, the ignition coil and the distributor, but I haven't found anything definite. Let alone a specific wire to trace.
Any help would be great, thanks
