First time I've posted here so this may be a stupid question!

I have an 88 2wd Ranger XLT, 2.9 manual tranny. We've been getting a lot of snow here in Northern Indiana in the last few years so I'd like to get a few more inches clearance in the front. I know I can put spacers to give me a couple more inches without major mods but I was wondering if there were any other I-beams I could use from another year or vehicle that would give me more clearance. I was hoping for between 3-5 inches more clearance. I have access to a well stocked junk yard and was hoping someone would be able to point me into the right direction. I've checked out the aftermarket I-beams and I really can't spend $3-5k on new I-beams.

Any help would be appreciated!

Autofab(?) has there bent beam kit for a lot less then 2k. Chassisteck isn't even that much if they still make them. Still in the end the beams won't give be further from the ground until you put taller tires on in my opinion. Here in Wisconsin I get buy on my 2wd with the spacer lift and 235/75r15s very well.

You already have forged beams, so just use those. I bet most off road shops would bend them for you.

I ended up putting F150 coils up front. Raised it about 3 in so now I need to put some shackles in the back and then get it aligned.

Anyone know where I can get some new leaf mounts. Thinking of putting those chevy leafs in this summer. Would like to start with new mounts instead of 23 yr old mounts.
