88 Ranger high rider VIN# question

Hello all,
I am looking at an 88 ranger on CG that has all the earmarks of an STX (black bumpers, wing windows, roll bar/brush guard 2.9, 5spd) and from the pictures (I know, I know) it either has really little tires or its a high rider. It appears to have a stance just like my '87 high rider did. I know how to I.D it when i go look at it, but before i do i was wondering if there was a VIN# designation?

The VIN isn't going to tell you.

Look at the factory brackets o this page:

The only way to really tell is to look under the truck, and see if it has the High Rider brackets.

If you buy the truck and are so inclined a Marti report might list the options including the STX package.

Not overly cheap and there is a turnaround while they put it together.
